Angela D.

My Black Spasm began when I was born. Coming from parents that endured their own Black Spasm, they were unable to shield me from sharing the same experience they endured. Growing up, I was unable to understand why I always felt like I was missing something. As I grew older, I noticed this was not happening only to me. This Black Spasm has been going on for centuries. I began my quest to find a way through it, but at every turn, the spasm continued to hit me in my face. Then one day I thought to myself, "why are you trying to get around this Black Spasm? Understand why you are going through it and move differently." Today, as a woman that lives in this world, I can see past the Black Spasm. I can see the divine in us all.
